Worcester Riding School were very lucky recently to have a visit from two Dressage experts recently. Julie Davies-Bennetts who recently came and did the dressage masterclass for us, revisited over camp week and brought with her one of her advanced pupils, christine. The children got to see Christine and Julie put there horses through thier paces and afterwards asked lots of questions about them and dressage.

Deni was very lucky as Julie gave her the opportunity to have a impromtu lesson on her dressage horse. Deni commented on the experience 'to be honest before I sat on Julies horse, I was not a lover of Dressage - to fancy for me!! however after sitting on and riding the horse, it made me really appreciate what it felt riding a very well schooled and responsive dressage horse. Dressage is now something that I would consider, and I will defiently be looking at incorporating some sort of dressage into my own competiion horses'. Speaking with Julie after the dressage demonstration, ' the children were all very responsive and interested in what the horses were doing, and they asked some very relevent questions afterwards. Getting children like this interested in Dressage is integral to the future growth of the sport, and that is why I was very keen to work with WRS with the Dressage demonstration - to encourage grass roots interest. I am very keen to further my link with WRS and look forward to coming back in giving Deni some more support with her horses'.
