After the very succesful launch and subsequent brilliant support of Horseriding4life, Worcester Riding School, have pledged to keep the sessions going for 2010, with the first session of 2010 planned for Saturday January 30th, and as the sessions are indoors they will not be effected by this adverse weather conditions
Worcester Riding School are very proud to be a partner with the National Change4life Government initiative. Change4life is a nationwise movement which aims to help everyone, but especially kids. The government aim is to get the whole family eating better, exercise more and to hopefully live longer.
We are launched our own horseriding4life to work in partnership with change4life back in the summer of 2009. Horseriding4life is aimed at familys to come along and have a go at horseriding for a small fee of only £5.00 per session, by offering it at this price is it hoped that it will encourage those who would like to have a go but have felt in the past that horse riding was to expensive. The idea is the whole family come down to Worcester Riding School and take part in a taster horse riding session, these sessions will either be in the indoor riding area or subject to good weather a lovely hack around the village is also on offer.
Deni Harper-Adams, proprietor of Worcester Riding School commented about the initiative, 'When I heard about this last year, I was very keen for Worcester Riding School to be part of the initiative but never realised how popular the sessions were going to be, and as a result of this have decided to continue Horseriding4life into 2010. The sessions were initially set up as it is sometimes felt that horse riding can sometimes be classed as an elite sport for only the fit, by breaking down the barriers and offering the taster sessions, the whole family can get envloved, and as the taster sessions aren't as long as the regular lessons those that are less fit can still benefit from them. We are also a RDA centre, so those less able are also being activley encouraged to take part, and for those that are a little bit apprehensive about actually getting on a pony, Mischief the shetland and Jakey the welsh mountain pony, will be on hand for cuddles and carrots!!'.
