This weekend (the 8th), is the Race riding master class at worcester riding school. It is a preview to taking a team of ponies to the Upton Point-to-point. We are very excitied about taking part and we now need to organise the ponies and the riders who will be on the team. So this weekend we are runing the masterclass where the children can learn how to race ride properly with pony club coaching, the children will then get to ride a race with the top four being invited to take part in the upton point-to-point races.

During the masterclass, the children will get the oppoortunity to find out what it feels like to be a real jockey as we have arranged a visit from Annie Adams who is taking part in the Cheltenham Festival in the Ladies only Charity Race in aid of Cancer Research UK. Annie has a long association with horses which is to be expected as she is Deni's younger sister! Annie rode from a young age - starting on a very cheeky shetland pony called leo! Annie has been involved with race horses for  a number of years including exercising and riding her own. Annie is looking forward to visiting the children where she will be going through how she is getting fit for the big race, how she is helping get the horse ready to race and will also be available to answer any questions that they may have. Annie has also said she will be racing out with the youngsters and hopes to get the ride at upton if in the top four (we havn't told Annie its only for the children!!)
