Deni and the girls (Angie and Kirsty), recently enjoyed a few weekend away in Ireland Hunting with the Dungarven Foxhounds. They were kindly invited over and looked after by the masters of the Waterford hunt during the last two meets of the season. The girls went over not too sure what to expect, but filled with stories of 10foot banks and even wider ditches.....and it turned out to be not too far from the truth!!

The girls were kindly given the use of seasoned irish hunt horses & ponies which was just as well, as the horses got them out of a few hairy situations. One such situation included 'the bank of doom', which after sending kirsty over on her pony, both Deni & Angie decided it far too dangerous for them, so they called upon 'an irish angel', who duly assisted by getting off his horse, and kindly jumping there horses over the 'bank of doom', leaving Deni & Angie to cross on there own two feet - it did look rather funny, these two english girls at the bottom on the ditch peering up over the edge!!

Speaking about the experience Deni said, ' we were invited over to hunt at christmas, but unfortuently couldnt make it, so when the chance came up in March to go we all jumped at the oppotunity! I cheated and got an extra weekend in before I took the girls so that I knew what to expect, and we were all very lucky to be given such super horses to look after us. The irish hospitality was second to none, certainly an experience that will stay will all of us for a very long time to come'.
